Cell MicroControls What's new
- In the US we are increasing our pricing in 2023 by about 13% for most of our equipment and accessories. This is the first increase since before 2010 so 12 years without price increases. For the EU our pricing will increase 15% mostly to compensate for the Euro/$US exchange rate. Outside Europe and the US pricing will increase 5%.
- We have a beta version of our mTC3Control (Windows10/11) control software for the mTC3. The software allows extensive control of the mTC3 and includes the ability to create complex protocols on each channel. The protocol can also include control of the Graphing function and logging so you can for example execute a sequence of temperature changes and say pause the graphing. Graphing allows you to select channels, show setpoint data, change the scale, pause graphing etc. The log saves sample temperatures every 250ms and records changes in setpoints as well as other notes that can be injected into the log. The log is a CSV file so can easily be brought into spreadsheet software.
- Our new mTC3 3Ch micro-Temp controller has been shipping for almost two years. This is a completely updated design of the mTCII with 3 channels with both digital (PWM) and analog outputs (10bit). We spent considerable effort to enhance the user interface and the flexibility of the instrument. A library of devices with their control parameters simplifies setting up. Also there are more built in checks such as checking the heater resistance against the nominal device resistance. So if a heater is damaged the controller will detect this. Analog control gives more precise temperature control for small devices and in situations where the PWM digital mode might cause interference. This design can be connected by USB cable so that you can use a VCP (Virtual Com Port) to control and log temperatures using many applications. You can also modify control parameters and change other settings. An optional BLE (Bluetooth) module and ourUSB-RS232 dongle allows control without cables for situations where the controller isn't easily accessible (eg. fume hood, incubator area). The pricing is the same as the older mTCII.
- We have designed a chamber BT-1-TBW-LN for use with Zebra fish larvae. The chamber allows the larvae to be pinned onto a small area of Sylgard that is molded into separate piece that forms the bottom of the chamber.
- Our improved HWPT-LID Transparent Well Plate Lid heater is now larger (same outside dims) to provide better uniformity of heating..
